My Darling Mabel June,
You are now 15 months old. You've finally started taking steps, just one or two at a time, but you're not that interested in walking.
You are interested in being FUNNY and making people laugh. If you do something that elicits a giggle you do it over again and again, and if someone else laughs you are so happy to join in!
You also love mimicking sounds and things we do. Your big sisters love playing hide and seek, and you will hide with one of us and then sometimes you'll hide your face and pretend to count. It's beyond adorable.
It hailed one day, but you're too small to go play in it with your sisters so you just got to watch with me.
You spent the time being very cute.
Your favorite way to fall asleep (actually pretty much the ONLY way you fall asleep) is in arms, and usually on a boob. It's nice to hold on to the baby stuff as you're growing up so fast.
Did I mention that you are funny?
And that you've started reading? You're a genius.
Some nights you and Lucy snuggle while I'm trying to sleep. It's really sweet, even though I don't really get much sleep this way.
A lot has happened in a year. You've grown so much.
And so have I. A year ago I was drowning in anxiety and could hardly keep my head above water each day, and now well, I'm not drowning in anxiety anymore but 3 kids sure keep me busy.
We took a trip to Sacramento! Kailie came with us to watch you while I took a class. You spent your days playing at parks and going to museums.
And meeting new friends, obviously.
And being a pirate.
Then we spent the weekend visiting with friends of mine. Lesley forced me to buy yarn and start a new knitting project.
Michelle read you a book and snuggled you
And you tried to become a MLP but thankfully I might have a few more years before that happens.
We spent the weekend at Karen's house, she was the person who was with me when I met your daddy, and she married us!
We had a trip to OMSI. You decided to become an eagle.
An upside down eagle...
Then we went to the Zoo, where you and your sisters climbed into another eagle's nest. Three little birds!
You all love the Elephant habitat. I have to admit, I do too.
You can see that your sisters aren't helping with the learning to walk thing...
At the end of every day, here we are, snuggling. People keep telling me to get out and do things, get a sitter! But you're my last baby and eventually you won't need me to rock you to sleep so I don't mind doing it every night (although, yes i do sometimes go out) you are so sweet and tiny and lovable. You are strong and opinionated and funny. You are absolutely perfect.
All my heart, Mama
