Another kindergarten mom said that word the other day and I cringed inwardly. I'm still kicking myself for not saying something to her. I even talked with another mom who wasn't there when she said it but whose daughter has cerebral palsy...I apologized for not standing up.

Anyway, that was good.

One of the things that frustrates me about some of the people in my life is that they will censor themselves from saying it when I'm around because it bothers me, not because it's the right thing to do. I still haven't figured out how to fix that yet.


I've been doing some serious catching up over here. And this one really jumped out at me.
The R word is not allowed in our house. Unless it is being used in dictionary standards (which is never, it's not common vernacular anymore).
In fact, I tossed a friend out of the house for using it and wouldn't let him back in until he understood that the word is not welcome in our home.

H and I think often of you all! I miss your words. I need to get here more often.
