I have the flu. No, I don't know, and don't care if it's the swine flu. I've just the regular old, season flu, low grade fever, aches, chills, cough, snotty nose, and headache. I started getting a random cough on Wednesday, felt a little under the weather on Thursday and by dinner time, I felt like complete crap. Thursday night Ruby also started getting a croupy cough in the middle of the night, and I feared I'd be in for a really bad day on Friday. I felt so bad on Friday, fever and all, that I canceled my work day, kept my kid home from school and spent the day watching PBS and movies with her. Ryan came home 3 hours early, and sent me to bed.
Today was a bit of a 'lather, rinse, repeat' scenario. I spent the day in bed or on the couch, while he corralled the still coughing but not really sick kid, kept her fed, clean and happy. He picked up burgers for lunch and cleaned the kitchen, and fixed the dryer and, and, and. Now the end of the day has arrived, and he's putting the kid to bed and thankfully, i feel better. Not 100% but definitely better.
Gotta love a man like that :)
The whole family loves that man! Thank you Ryan.
You are a wonderful husband and father! :)
